The prognosis for Big Daddy Weave bassist Jason Weaver continues to be very serious.  We reported that recently, Weaver was complaining of pain emanating from his legs and feet. The cause has been determined to be an aggressive infection that has necessitated the amputation of both his feet.

Late word from the band's record label as of Friday is that Jason is still not out of the woods.  Staff at Word Entertainment issued this statement - with ways that fans can tangibly help the Weaver family:

[Friday] Jay underwent another procedure on his right leg. Unfortunately, his kidney numbers are continuing to go the wrong way, so please pray for that as well. He needs to be moved to a different hospital that has a more effective hyperbaric chamber, but no rooms are available. He has to be transported round-trip by ambulance each day, which is increasing his pain.

The band has set up a Facebook page where they will post updates on Jay’s condition. Pray For Jay, #prayforjay

They also just launched a fundraising page to help with out of pocket expenses, which are estimated to be $150,000. YouCaring donation page for Jay Weaver.

Your prayers and support are appreciated.  We will keep you informed of any further developments.
