PARTNERS IN HOUSING TO SHOWCASE BENTLEY COMMONS
COLORADO SPRINGS – Partners in Housing, the Pikes Peak region’s longest-standing transitional housing non-profit, will showcase newly opened transitional and affordable housing at its recently completed Bentley Commons apartment complex. The 192-unit was built by GPR Properties which is comprised of Partners in Housing, Greccio and Rocky Mountain Land Trust.
The Moving Families Forward event on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. will showcase property tours, hors d’oeuvres and drinks, and Partners in Housing’s efforts to guide Colorado Springs families in housing crisis from insecurity to stability, self-reliance and prosperity.
Bentley Commons, located at 2715 Bentley Point, offers 168 new units and 24 renovated units for those who fall within 40-60% of the Area Median Income. These affordable housing units also feature amenities like on-site management and a computer center. There are 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments, including accessible units, available.
The Need
Domestic violence, loss of work, unexpected expenses – just a few reasons a family with children come to Partners in Housing for support. One out of every four El Paso County residents lives paycheck to paycheck. Coupled with a shortage of affordable housing in the region, just one emergency can lead a family into homelessness.
The Solution
With the right support, families in crisis can move forward – we need your help! Our goal is to expand the inventory of housing options, and you can be a part of this progress. More than just housing, Partners in Housing’s transitional housing model, which has an 85% success rate, offers families a wide range of support to become self-sufficient within one year.
